Evaporated Apples are prepared from sound, fresh and properly ripened (Granny Smith, Fuji and Red Delicious) apples which have been washed, cored, sorted, trimmed, cut to desired size, and properly dried. The production, packaging and delivery are made under strict sanitary conditions to guarantee a product which is in complete compliance with the FDA as well as the European Union and other international food laws and regulations. Our products are circle K Kosher certified.
MOISTURE
22%-26% maximum (determined by Vaccuum Oven method at 70º for 6 hours).
SULPHUR DIOXIDE (SO2)
Both Unsulphured and 1500 ppm Maximum (Target 1200 ppm).
COLOR
Tan to light brown for unsulfured products, light yellow to white for sulfured products.
RECONSITUTION RATIO
Evaporated apples will generally require between 3-5 parts water (by weight) to 1 part apple to fully reconstitute the product.

Shall be free of any defects.
STALK
One stalk in 200g, maximum.
SEEDS
One seed in 200g, maximum.
FOREIGN MATERIAL
Shall be free of all substances degrading the physical characteristics or hazardous to human consumption.
MICROBIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Microorganisms that can cause food intoxication or food poisoning in humans shall be absent.

PACKAGING AND SHIPPING CONDITIONS
Product is packed in corrugated export cartons with polyethylene bags inside. Net weight shall be 35-50 lb. per case.
The product shall be transported in dry containers of 20 or 40 feet.
